Description
Chlorinated rubber is a kind of chlorinated polymer made from natural rubber and chlorine gas. Industrial products are white or light yellow powder, non-toxic and tasteless, chlorine content of 63-65% , average molecular weight of 5000-10000, soluble in toluene, xylene and other organic solvents, can be mixed with alkyd resins, epoxy, Phenol formaldehyde resin, polyurethane and other synthetic resins, insoluble in aliphatic alcohols and water. Due to the high chlorine content in the C-C backbone of chlorinated rubber and its ring-like structure, it has many excellent application properties:
Stability:
Chlorinated rubber is very stable at ambient temperature, but it will degrade slowly in continuous heating. It is recommended to add low molecular weight epoxy resin as stabilizer in the production process, and the addition amount is less than 1%.
Application field:
Chlorinated rubber can be used in a variety of industrial fields, such as: anti-corrosion paint, Marine paint, landmark paint, fire paint, adhesive and so on.
Chlorinated rubber comes in a variety of grades depending on the viscosity index, all of which do not contain carbon tetrachloride.
